Etta Ferrier

Speech & Language Therapist & Consultant (Co-Founder)

Etta is a Speech & Language Therapist with over 14 years' clinical experience. She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and holds a degree in Speech and Language Therapy from City, University of London.

Etta has worked within NHS Trusts across London, Surrey and Hampshire and has been running her own independent Speech & Language Therapy practice since 2017.

Her clinical work focuses particularly on children with speech and language difficulties. She has specialist interests in Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Developmental Language Disorder, Selective Mutism, stammering and attention-related difficulties including ADHD. She also has a particular interest in social communication, including supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder to develop effective communication with friends, teachers and family.

Etta has extensive experience working collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals. Her approach is practical and evidence-informed, with a focus on understanding the individual and considering how recommendations can be applied in everyday settings.

Before becoming a Speech & Language Therapist, Etta spent 10 years working in the City as a Senior Financial Analyst. This earlier career developed her analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making, skills which continue to inform her work today.

Etta is also a mother of three boys, now teenagers, giving her personal experience of the changing demands that come with childhood, adolescence and increasing independence.

Through Kibble Ferrier Consultancy, Etta brings together her clinical experience, analytical skills and knowledge of education to provide independent analysis, practical advice and evidence-based recommendations to families, teenagers, adults and professionals.

Co-Founder

Alison Kibble

Paediatric Occupational Therapist & Consultant (Co-Founder)

Alison is an Occupational Therapist with over a decade of experience working with adults and children in a wide range of settings. As part of her Occupational Therapy degree, she was awarded the EM McDonald Memorial Prize for the highest first-class honours degree in her year. She also holds a Master of Biochemistry (Molecular and Cellular) from New College, Oxford University, providing a strong scientific foundation that complements her clinical expertise.

Alison has extensive experience supporting adults, children and young people with a range of needs across work, schools and homes. Her clinical work takes a holistic approach, considering both physical and mental health needs. Her areas of expertise include sensory processing, motor coordination, executive function, self-care and daily living skills, learning and academic participation, and practical support for neurodivergent adults, children and young people, including those with ASD, ADHD and DCD.

She works collaboratively with individuals, families and multidisciplinary health and education professionals, with an emphasis on evidence-based practice, clear communication and goal attainment. Her approach is empathetic, educative and supportive, allowing continuing progress beyond sessions.

Before becoming an Occupational Therapist, Alison had an extensive career in biotechnology and medical devices, including CEO and Non-Executive Director roles. She raised commercial funding, led the development and commercialisation of medical technologies, secured technology licensing agreements and advised boards on commercial strategy. This experience has given her strong analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills, as well as a practical understanding of the competing demands and pressures experienced by senior executives, professionals and busy families. These experiences complement her clinical practice and inform her ability to provide realistic, practical and effective support.

Outside of work, Alison has four children as well as two energetic dogs and enjoys spending time outdoors.

Through Kibble Ferrier Consulting, Alison brings together her clinical expertise, experience of working with all ages and her wider scientific and commercial background to provide practical, evidence-informed advice and recommendations.
