Yes. Kibble Ferrier Consultancy can review existing Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and other professional reports and help you understand the findings, recommendations and their practical implications.
We can consider how recommendations might be applied at home, in education or in the workplace, identify areas that may need further consideration, and help you decide what practical steps may be appropriate.
Professional reports can contain detailed recommendations, but it is not always clear how these can be put into practice.
We can help you work through the information, consider which recommendations are most relevant to the situation and identify realistic, practical ways they could be implemented. This may include considering adjustments to communication, learning, organisation, the environment or everyday activities.
Yes. We provide independent advice to adults and professionals managing their own needs at work.
This may include communicating with your employer, being asked to develop new skills and understanding what that means and how to approach this, managing colleague relationships and the communication involved, or talking to your manager about what you need to feel secure, confident and comfortable at work. We understand you may need a different way of doing things in the office to achieve the expectations of your manager / team.
Our role is to help identify what may be contributing to any challenges and consider realistic options that may improve your daily life.
When people in a relationship have different needs and challenges this can lead to friction and misunderstandings. We can support you to understand your needs and explain these in language that your partner or family will understand.
Sometimes in a family the focus is directed towards a child or adult with obvious neurodiverse traits or a diagnosis. Sometimes other members of the family have different traits or need help to understand how to balance their needs with those of this individual. We can support couples, siblings and extended family with these challenges.
Yes. Kibble Ferrier Consultancy are happy to provide independent professional advice without the need for an ongoing therapy programme.
You may already have had an assessment or received professional recommendations and simply need help understanding the information, considering your options or deciding what to do next.
If therapy or further assessment is needed we can help you to find this.
No. You do not need a diagnosis to use our consultancy service.
We consider the information available, including existing reports, observations and the experiences of the individual and those supporting them. Our focus is on understanding your particular questions or challenges and identifying practical next steps.
Consultancy, assessment and therapy have different purposes.
Consultancy involves considering a particular question or challenge, reviewing available information and providing professional analysis, advice and recommendations.
Assessment is a more structured process used to investigate and understand specific areas of difficulty, often using formal assessment tools, observation and clinical analysis.
Therapy involves ongoing intervention designed to address identified difficulties and work towards specific goals.
Kibble Ferrier Consultancy is a separate service from our individual Speech & Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy practices. Our consultancy focuses on independent advice, analysis and practical recommendations rather than ongoing therapy. If you or someone in your family requires therapy we can discuss this with you and how to access it.
Yes. We work directly with teenagers where appropriate, or provide advice to parents who are seeking a better understanding of their teenager’s needs.
Sessions may explore areas such as communication, learning, organisation, managing information, participation, independence, transitions and self-advocacy. The focus is on developing understanding and identifying practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.
Yes. We provide independent advice to help families understand existing professional recommendations and consider the information they may wish to bring to an EHCP application or annual review.
We can help you think through your child’s current needs, the recommendations that have been made and the practical support or adjustments that may need to be considered.
Our role is advisory and we do not act as an EHCP assessor or legal representative.
Yes. We provide independent consultancy to schools, SENCos and other professionals.
